 Exciting news for event designers using Vectorworks 2025! The Vectorworks Spotlight video camera tool offers a comprehensive tutorial on creating dynamic event visuals. With a range of lenses, camera bodies, and stand types, designers can replicate real-world video camera setups with precision.

The active view feature provides a realistic perspective, matching the chosen lens, camera body, and stand type to simulate the exact view from the event space. This live view updates in real-time, allowing designers to fine-tune lighting and shot compositions for seamless production planning.

By activating the video camera object, designers can experience the event space through the lens of a professional camera, adjusting angles, panning, tilting, and rotating directly from the Object Info palette. My workflow is adaptable to different event scales, from small conferences to large concerts, by adjusting the level of detail in each design phase.
